P6 met with St Patricks and St Brigids to complete the John Muir Award.  Their outdoor place of interest was the beach.  They got to meet up 4 times to study the geography of the beach using some simple map work.  They investigated habitats found on and surrounding the beach, this included identifying various plants and dipping in the rock pools.  They helped to conserve the beach by taking part in a litter pick.  They then got to enjoy the beach in their last session by having a sand castle/sculpture competition.
